Artificial River for Irrigation in Toshka
Introduction: In Toshka, we executed a specialized piping project to create an artificial river aimed at diverting water from the Nile. The main objective was to construct pump stations and pipe sections capable of handling large volumes of water securely.
Challenges: Some of the specialized pipes had to be rolled in-house and equipped with custom-fit flanges. Furthermore, the desert climate demanded an exceptionally robust construction method and perfect sealing of all connections.
Solution: We employed advanced rolling and welding techniques to manufacture the steel pipes internally. Our own machining department produced high-quality flanges ensuring a tight, long-lasting fit.
Result: The artificial river operates reliably, forming the foundation for a large-scale irrigation and agricultural project. Thanks to precise pipeline construction, water flow can be optimally regulated and monitored.
